Moire fringes, that are equivalent to a lateral-shearing interferogram, can be yielded in the carrier-frequency photography with masks of Eonchi rulings. A new method is now preposed to color-code these fringes simply by use of a dispersion prism. It results in the enhancement of sensitivity and leads to an output visually more pleasant. First, a special oarrier-frequenoy photographic system with a small aperture is introduced. Based on it, the process of color-coding by dispersion is then discussed in detail, and correspondingly, the important formulas for the object refraction and the related coding colors are derived. The experiments are given, too.
