    Abstract

The influence of spatial relative positions between input device (spatial light modulator) and output device (charge coupled device) on the matching result of volume holographic data storage system (VHDSS) is analyzed, and the principle for testing the sensitivities of adjustors for signal input and output elements is summarized. Accordingly, the one to one pixel matching between I/O arrays with chrome on glass transmission masks is realized. The effects of input device fill factor (F f) and input pattern combinations on readout images are investigated. All these work present theoretical and experimental bases for realizing record and retrieval of high capacity, low bit error rate (BER) data pages in VHDSS.
