    Abstract

Cu doped Bi, Al: DyIG films have been prepared onto glass substrates bypyrolysis method. The static read-write performance have been studied. Cu doped garnetfilms can be obtained with high coercive force and good Farady hysteresis loops, and it isuseful to stabilize the written domains. Also, appropraite addition of Cu can make grainsize small, and it benefits to reducing grain boundary noise. A He-Ne laser device wasused as recording source. Under certain conditions of writing power, read-out power and biased magnetic field, it is easy to take the read-write process using Cr layer as reflective layer when the pulse width is 50 ns, the writing power can be lowered to 5 mW.
