    Abstract

The atomic hydrogen maser is the most stable frequency standard generally available today for all but the shortest measuring time interval. The design improvement of the magnetic selector benefits the improvement of the hydrogen maser's working coefficients and greatly decrease its volume and weight. Some useful relations to the design and experiment results of the atomic beam optics are given and important factors are discussed which must be taken into account for optimizing the atomic beam optics while improving the long-term performance.
