Abstract

The influences of Kerr effect, diffraction and dispersion effect on thepropagtion properties of laser pulse in a normally dispersive 2+ 1 dimensional media arediscussed.The impacts of initial pulse width, beam width and chirp on the pulse widthcompression are studied by using numerical method.
