    Abstract

The optical transmission in the one-dimension Fibonacci supper-lattice for different polarizations is investigated by means of the transfer-matrix method. The results indicate that the forbidden band gaps for s-polarization trend to become wider with the increase of the angle of incidence and the forbidden band gaps will vanish in some angle, while the band gaps for p-polarization always become wider with the increase of the angle of incidence, and omnidirectional bandgap will appear. The optical transmission in Fibonacci supper-lattice with defects for different polarizations is also investigated. It can be concluded that if the s-polarization is total transmission, the p-polarization is total reflection,or if the p-polarization is total transmission, the s-polarization is forbidden. These characteristics will be widely used in modern microwave and optical device.
