A vector model theory for perfectly conducting gratings

In this paper, a vector modal expansion method is used to investigate the diffraction efficiency of optical vector waves for a perfectly conducting reflection grating with grooves of arbitrary cross-section. Laser beam collimation tester: principles, function and accuracy

Determination of size distribution of large particle using multi-wavelength light extinction

Based on Mie' s light scattering theory, a method to determine the size distribution of large particles using multi-wavelength light extinction is proposed in this paper. The theoretical studies for non-cavity-length-metched APM laser

Longitudinal Zeeman frequency stabilization of Uniphase 1007 type He-Ne laser

The Uniphase 1007 type long lifetime commercil He-Ne laser is studied as Zeeman frequency stabilized laser. A frequency drift of 5×10-9 is obtained by the maximum error analysis method for the observation period of 17 hours. Blue-violet tunable LiB3O5single pulse ps laser

By using an active-passive mode looked Nd3+:YAG laser and avalanche transistor absorption single pulse slicer, amplifier, frequency doubler, and a frequency mixer, 30 ps single laser pulse at 355 nm was obtained. It was used as the pump source of a type I noncritically phase-matched LiB3O5 optical parametric generator.By using an active-passive mode looked Nd3+:YAG laser and avalanche transistor absorption single pulse slicer, amplifier, frequency doubler, and a frequency mixer, 30 ps single laser pulse at 355 nm was obtained. It was used as the pump source of a type I noncritically phase-matched LiB3O5 optical parametric generator. Under the precise control of crystal temperature, 415.9～482.6 nm tunable blue-viole laser with 0.15 nm linewidth has been achieved. The highest parametric energy conversion efficiency has been up to 37.6%, which leads to the picosecond laser output with energy of 6.33 mJ and peak-power of 211 MW..

Saturation effect and multiplicative noise in a dye laser

Compared with the experimental measurements, good agreement is obtained near threshold region. Influence of the frequency detuning on the phase diffusion and frequency shift of the light in the two-photon J-C model

In this paper, we have studied the influence of the frequency detuning on the phase properties of the light field in the two-photon J-C model. We verify that the detuning can not only change the atom-field coupling degree, but also induce the frequency shift of light. The effect of equiphase-surface distortion on the wave-front of photorefractive phase conjugate wave

Using two beam-coupling equations to describe space-charge field, we investigated the inclination and the bent of the equiphase surface, which would cause two kinds of wave-front distortion of phase conjugate wave in four- wave mixing (FWM). Nonapproximate analysis of two-grating interferometer

In this paper the two- grating interferometer is analysized by means of nonapproximation. It is shown that when the number and the contrast of fringes from the interferometer are not limited by the coherence of its illuminating light, it is also not influenced by the position in space of the light source and is still cIn this paper the two- grating interferometer is analysized by means of nonapproximation. Interferometric approach method for measuring refractive index of liquid samples

A new interferometric technique for measuring liquid refractive index (RI) with high accuracy has been developed, which is directly traceable to the wavelength of He-Ne laser. Novelty filtering imaging with two photorefractive crystals greatly different in resopnse times
