The Higdon absorbing boundary condition and it's complementary operators (HCOM) is used with beam propagation method (BPM). It is found that HCOM is a good method and can effectly annihilate reflections arising from the computational boundary when HCOM is used for the Gauss pulse propagates in freedom space and waveguide.
