Abstract

It is Possible to deflect a group of atoms with a cerium velocity from aneffusive atomic beam if a properly detuned laser beam with a little angle off orthognal tothe atomic beam is used.Theoretical and initial experimental results of this simple methodfor velocity selection are given.
