The characteristic of IR sub-system of radar/IR dual mode seeker is described. The scheme of applying the single-channel controlled non-imaging IR system to the radar/IR dual mode seeker is discussed. The possible improving approaches, such as space scanning, coordinate conversion, are introduced, and these approaches can also be applied to other kinds of radar/IR (non-imaging) dual mode seeker.
