The emission spectra of four dye mixtures pumped by N2 laser are studied. These mixtures are rhodamine 6G+crestyl violet, rhodamine B+crestyl violet, rhodamine 6G +rhodamine B and rhodamine 6G+rhodamine B+cz-estyl violet. The energy transfer processes in the mixtures are discussed. It has been shown that the broadening tuning range of dye lasers, the increase of laser efficiency of some dyes and dual wavelength laser oscillation in the dye mixtures are feasible.
