    Abstract

To protect the water erosion a cobat base alloy coating has been cladded on the leading edge of the moving blabes in the lower pressure-last sarge of steam turbines by a 2 kW CO2 laser, and the blades have been put intO trial operaton in a electric power plant. This paper introduces the technology and the equipment on laser cladding processing of bledes and discusses the experimental results. The results indicate that it is possible to use the laser cladding technique for Production of moving bledes.
