    Abstract

    This report presents a low noise L-band dispersion-compensating hybrid fiber amplifier with 1500-nm Rain an pumping. It describes the pre-stage optimization, Raman pump selection, and possible nonlinearity problems to achieve a practical low noise L-band optical amplifier.
