    Abstract

The validation of stratospheric ozone measurement by lidar was demonstrated by the comparison with ozoneresults of SAGE II and HALOE. The analysis indicates that ozone profiles by lidar agreewell with ones by SAGE II over the altitudes 18~37.5km, their relativedifferences were within 12% from 20 to 30km and less than 26.5% from 32 to 35km altitudes. The ozone distribution by Lidar and HALOE measurement coincided well with the relativedifference less than 15% in the range 20~32km. Intercomparisons of ozone profiles presented bylidar, SAGE II and HALOE measurements on the same or adjacent days, show the betteragreement in the stratosphere.
