    Abstract

Microwave photonic radar has the advantages such as high resolution, rapid processing speed,multi-band capability, and multifunctionality, and has broad prospects in aerospace applications. In order to meet the stringent requirements of the size, weight, and power consumption of radar systems in aerospace applications, integration has become the main trend in the development of microwave photonic radar. In this paper,a microwave photonic radar chip fabricated on a thin-film lithium niobate platform is introduced. This chip facilitates the generation of frequency-multiplied radar signals and the de-chirped of received echo signals.Furthermore, the range-finding experiments involving targets positioned at varying distances from the antenna are carried out.The results show that the measured distances are consistent with the actual distances, and the error margins are less than 4 mm.
