    Abstract

    High power diode-end-pumped Nd∶YAG ceramic laser is reported using Nd∶YAG ceramic made in China. A loss coefficient of 0.116 cm-1 is obtained by measuring the transmission spectrum of Nd∶YAG ceramic. High power output is realized in diode double-end-pumped Nd∶YAG ceramic laser. An output power of 10.0 W is obtained with a corresponding optical-optical conversion efficiency of 22.2%. To the best of our knowledge,this experimental result is the highest power reported for the Nd∶YAG ceramic laser made in China.
