    Abstract

    Negative refraction can exist in photonic crystals, and the physical significance of negative refraction in one-dimensional photonic crystals is discussed theoretically. The analytical expressions of the photonic band structure, the group velocity and the power transmittance are obtained. The frequency bands for negative refraction are found. There is a beam negative transverse position shift at the transmission surface when negative refraction occurs, which is analyzed in detail.
