    Abstract

    Automatically switched optical network (ASON) has a key characteristic which is the rapid and efficient survivability stratogy. We describe how ASON can provide efficient survivability mechanisms, and present a scheme of GMPLS-based end to end LSP mechanisms.We also analyze the recovery time of different survivability strategy
