The self induced phase matching in four wave mixing in a nonbirefringent single mode optical fiber has been observed. It has been shown that in a nonbirefringent single mode fiber the phase matching necessary for four wave mixing can be accomplished with the combination of self phase modulation and cross phase mdulation induced by pump laser pulse.
