    Abstract

The main causes which influence the detectable minimum energy density of streak camera were discussed. The detectable minimum energy density was detemined by using a mode locked dye/Nd:YAG laser system and etalon. The minimum energy density, which obtained in the present experiment, is less than 1×10 -13 J/cm 2 for visible light (532 nm).
