Modeling and Simulation of a Controlled/Autonomous CCRP Attack System for UCAVs

Real-Time Robust Estimation of Sensor Bias for Radar Network under Multi-Target Circumstance

Initial Alignment of Strap-down Inertial Navigation System Aided by Doppler Velocity Log

A Target Tracking Algorithm that Reduces Laser Designation Time

A new approach that minimizes the total active laser target designation time is proposed for guidance of laser guided weapons.The laser guided weapons can make full use of INS/GPS guidance and estimate the error of the weapon-to-target vector by covariance information within a Kalman filtering.At any time the missile nA new approach that minimizes the total active laser target designation time is proposed for guidance of laser guided weapons.The laser guided weapons can make full use of INS/GPS guidance and estimate the error of the weapon-to-target vector by covariance information within a Kalman filtering.At any time the missile needs to be sure that it can navigate to any point within the area around the target that is described by this covariance.Therefore at each moment during the flight there exists a covariance threshold above which the weapon cannot guarantee its ability to navigate to the target.In our proposed approach when the threshold is exceeded the weapon requests a brief laser designation of the target.The laser designation provides an accurate measurement of the bearing of the target with respect to the missile and this is used to improve the estimation of the weapon-to-target vector.In turn this can be fed back into the Kalman filter to improve the internal state estimation.The approach can minimite the laser designation time while guaranteeing the attacking precision..

Infrared Image Enhancement Based on Image Fusion

First a filter method combining median filter with mean filter was used for filtering image.Then the improved OTSU was used to segment the image and plateau histogram equalization was used to enhance the image segmentations. The image edges that need sharpening was determined based on the image segmentations and the enhanced image was obtained by using simple weighted average method.Simulation results show that this method is feasible and has fine enhancement effect..

An Air Combat Effectiveness Evaluation System with Adjustable Parameters for Fighters

Considering the new technical and tactical characteristics of the fighters we established a comprehensive air combat effectiveness evaluation index system.The fighters high mobility strong situational awareness and excellent electronic warfare capability were highlighted and the index calculation formulas were given uConsidering the new technical and tactical characteristics of the fighters we established a comprehensive air combat effectiveness evaluation index system.The fighters high mobility strong situational awareness and excellent electronic warfare capability were highlighted and the index calculation formulas were given using the analytical method. Based on the analysis to the fighter air combat effectiveness evaluation methods an air combat effectiveness evaluation model with adjustable parameters based on S-shaped curve was put forward. A parameter in S-shaped curve was used as an adjustable parameter which greatly enhanced the flexibility of the evaluation model. The air combat effectiveness of F-16C before and after using date link and the operational effectiveness of three types of fighter were analyzed and the method for selecting the adjustable parameters and the application of the model were given. The simulation results showed that the model is flexible and effective which can enhance the credibility of the evaluation results while the evaluation process is simple and feasible..

Single-Observer Passive Location Based on Schmidt Orthogonal Transform UKF Algorithm

In single-observer passive location the performance of the Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) using Unscented Transform (UT) is better than that of Extend Kalman Filter (EKF) and its derivative algorithms. But UKF has more amount of computation. But UKF has more amount of computation. To solve the problem an improved filter algorithm based on Schmidt orthogonal transform was proposed. The algorithm followed the selection criterion for sampling point and used Schmidt orthogonal transform sampling strategy to reduce the number of sampling points. The algorithm was applied in passive locating of a moving emitter. The computer simulation results show that the algorithm can reduce the computation cost and improve the calculation efficiency while keeping a satisfactory filtering precision..

Extended Propagator Method Based on Virtual Interpolated Array

Extended propagator method (EPM) utilizes propagator method for signal direction finding by extending the data first.It has better performance in resolution and accuracy than that of classical high resolution algorithms that dont make full use of the noncircular information.But the array element position error has an Extended propagator method (EPM) utilizes propagator method for signal direction finding by extending the data first.It has better performance in resolution and accuracy than that of classical high resolution algorithms that dont make full use of the noncircular information.But the array element position error has an influence on the performance of the algorithm in the real direction finding.An EPM algorithm based on virtual interpolated array (VIA-EPM) is proposed.By utilizing transformation matrix which is obtained through the real array manifold and virtual array manifold the real covariance matrix can be converted to virtual covariance matrix and the spatial spectrum function can be obtained after splitting the virtual covariance matrix.Simulation results show that if sensor position errors exist the performance of the new algorithm is similar to the calibrated EPM algorithm by using virtual interpolated array (VIA) for the calibrated sensor position data and this algorithm also keeps the performance in array extension and high accuracy.The estimation accuracy and resolution of VIA-EPM algorithm based on extended covariance matrix is better than VIA-EPM algorithm based on extended data matrix in the case of low SNR..
