    Abstract

    As an oxidant, polytetrafluoroethylene has better thermal stability, anti-aging performance, chemical stability, higher energy and releases huge amount of heat while reacting with metal powder. Meanwhile, polytetrafluoroethylene has good moldability when being applied in energetic materials such as pyrotechnics, therefore, it has wide application in pyrotechnics and new energetic materials. The application research of polytetrafluoroethylene in pyrotechnics and new energetic materials is introduced to provide references for wider and more in-depth research on the application of polytetrafluoroethylene in energetic materials.
