    Abstract

    GaSb-based diode lasers are the main method to cover mid-infrared waveband. As have been studied many years, GaSb-based diode lasers are developed enough for practical applications. For having the vast majority of gaseous molecules exhibit strong absorption lines and higher transparency atmospheric window, GaSb-based diode lasers have important applications in gas detection, material processing and free space optical communication.
