The research status and development trend of foreign Unmanned Undersea Vehicle(UUV) are introduced in detail, taking the America military UUV as an example.Then, the domestic studies on UUV are presented.The shape and overall layout of UUVs are described.On which basis, the main bottleneck problems in UUV development are pointed out, such as energy and underwater communication.
