    Abstract

    We present a simple model to treat the transverse electron thermal conductivityand its influnce on the homogeneity of the high power laser beam used in uniformillumination experiments. Furthmore, the diameters such as the beam width, the intensityinhomogeneity and the energy utilization ratio are redefined to give a quantutitive measure ofthe beam quality.
