    Abstract

The demand for audio/video applications in avionics network is increasing rapidly. There are highly requirements for network bandwidth and quality of service.Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) technology can provide a synchronized and low-latency audio/video service in traditional Ethernet network, and therefore it has received attention in avionics applications. On the basis of analyzing AVB protocol,a time-triggered AVB transmission mechanism is proposed with the real-time guarantee and a traffic mapping model for message exchange in avionics network. The system architecture of AVB is constructed as a case study for an integrated avionics system. The simulation results indicate that the time-triggered AVB is expected to meet transfer needs in DIMA and is superior to AFDX.
