    Abstract

By merging an attenuation factor into the Maxwell equations, a time evanescent auxiliary field was obtained. The characteristic of the auxiliary fields and its equations, and difference formulas were presented. The numerical examples show that the technique of artificial attenuation technique is efficient in analysis of high-Q resonant circuits, and the same accuracy of numerical results as the conventional finite difference time domain method can be achieved.
