    Abstract

Amorphous, submicron powders of Pe and Fe/C have been produced by irradiating Fe(CO)5/C3H4 and Fe(CO)5/C2H2/SF6 system with a CW CO2 laser. The effects of process parameters on the powder nature have been studied.
