    Abstract

Based on the field of infrared image processing technology, a multi-directional infrared focal plane array blind element detection method is proposed. At first, the cross-directional one-dimensional operator is used to calculate the maximum and minimum values of the point at horizontal and vertical directions. And then, the maximum and minimum values of the point at diagonal direction are calculated by the diagonal one-dimensional operator. The maximum and minimum values of the crosswise and diagonal one-dimensional operators are used to obtain the maximum and minimum values of the point at two-dimensional direction. At last, whether the point is a blind point or not is judged by a threshold. A single blind cell is not only accurately detected, but also two or more blind cells can be accurately detected, which are continuous at horizontal, vertical or diagonal directions. The required storage cost is low, the calculation is simple, and it has good generalization and portability. This function can be realized by adding corresponding code in the software without additional hardware cost, greatly reducing the difficulty of development and shortening the development cycle.
