    Abstract

    This article illustrates the operation principle of IEEE 1394 Serial Bus and design architecture of IEEE 1394 Link Layer Controller, and gives a logic design of IEEE 1394 Link Layer Controller, function simulations in software and FPGA-based circuit verification. The experimental result has shown that the controller can transfer data at 100 Mbit/s and accord with IEEE 1394 specification.
