    Abstract

The clad coating ofNiCrBSi-TiC metal-ceramic powders on the surface of TC4 alloy was performed by CO2laser. By means of SEM and XRD, microstructure of the coating was investigated, andmicrohardness was measured. The experimental results show that the clad coating iscontinuous, homogeneous, poreless and crackless by optimizing the technical parameters. The phases of coating are composed of TiC, γ-Ni, M23(CB)6, CrB, Ni3B et al..The edges of TiC particles were dissoloved during laser heating, and the tiny dendrites ofTiC precipitated during cooling. The average hardness of coating is Hv980.
