    Abstract

    A new structure of an intracavity generator of terahertz(THz) radiation in the cavity of femtosecond mode-locked Ti: Sapphire lasers was presented. The scheme combines advantages of a fast saturable semiconductor Bragg mirror with that of a photoconductive THz emitter. It will significantly increase the efficiency of the intracavity THz generation, as well as self-start the mode-locked of femtosecond Ti: sapphire lasers.
