    Abstract

    For the request of 3D dynamic display of trajectory and airspace background in new generation air traffic management systems,a 3D display technology is proposed for air traffic control system based on World Wind of US NASA.World Wind is used for 3D rendering the airspace background as display subsystem.A transparent layer is placed to display the aircraft dynamic information.And the aircraft position on the layer is ensured to be consistent with 3D airspace background by spatial transformation.The real-time dynamic information of the aircraft in the airspace is collected by ADS-B ground station,and the information is used for real-time trajectory display.The experiment result indicates that:the proposed 3D display technology is compatible with the traditional air traffic display technology,and can offer more intuitional dynamic information in airspace to the controllers,which is helpful for improving the effectiveness and reliability of air traffic control.
