    Abstract

The effect of land surface non uniformity on land surface temperature retrieval was investigated. A non uniform land surface in retrieval could be considered and treated as an uniform land surface with an equivalent temperature. Furthermore, a set of real GMS 5/VISSR infrared channel data was used to determine land surface temperature with the retrieval algorithm.
