    Abstract

    This paper described an algorithm applied to the video sequence images mosaicing—manifold method.Firstly,strips were extracted in a video sequence.The charts were composed of some strips.The order that the chart was in the manifold was fixed by the similarity measure.Secondly,the corresponding charts between frames were connected and then mosaiced into a panoramic image according to optimized path.Finally,the image color of the overlapping band was smoothed using the Laplacian Pyramid decomposition approach.The experiments show that the panoramic image mosaiced by the method preserves the detail of original image at the greatest degree and has the least cumulative visual errors and distortions.So the panoramic image has very good visual effect.
