High energy laser countermeasure systems are becoming an important part in the field of electronic countermeasures, which have wide application space in hard destruction field such as anti-missile, anti-satellite and anti-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). At first, the principles and development situations of high energy laser countermeasure technology are introduced. And then, the development courses and equipment research situations of the high energy laser weapons in foreign countries are discussed. At last, the development trends of the weapons are summarized.
