    Abstract

    The thermal characteristics of machine tool spindle system are one of the main factors affecting its processing accuracy, so it is particularly important to analyze the thermal characteristics of the spindle system. Taking TPX6111E/3 numerical control (NC) boring machine as the research object, using FLIR thermal imager and Iridium laser triangulation measurement system, the thermal deformation of NC boring machine with the same speed in different seasons is analyzed. Experimental results show that the ambient temperature varies greatly depending on the season or time. The temperature values of the corresponding points of the spindle of the same NC boring machine at the same speed are quite different. The thermal deformations of the spindle in X and Y directions are also different, and higher requirements are put forward for the working conditions of the spindle in the process of processing.
