From the viewpoint of application of Flight Recording System (FRS) on civil aircraft an introduction is given to constitution configuration requirements of function and so on of FRS and the basic principle of FRS design and installation is presented as well.A detail description is made on the new generation of FRS for civil aircrafts and it is indicated that the development trend of FRS on future civil aircraft is integrating and synthesizing.
