    Abstract

    By Kurtz's powder technique^ we have studied the SHG properties of fifty organic compounds, which include derivatives of p-ni troaniline, 2,4-dinitroaniline, p-ni troo-phenyldia-mine, diphenyl, azobenzene, diphenyl ether and diphenyl sulfide. Eight of them are found tc be promising practical nonlinear organic materials.
