    Abstract

Erasable optical storage on an organic m-nitrobeznal malononitrile and diamine benzene (m-NBMN/DAB) complex thin film has been demonstrated. The static optical recording characteristics were studied by the home-made static characterizer, the high contrast pattern can be produced by 780 nm laser pulses and can be erased by heating. The structural and spectral properties of the m-NBMN/DAB complex thin film were studied by the high resolution scanning electron micoscopy (HRSEM) and infrared (IR) spectroscopy.
