A CO2 measurement system with high accuracy based on ray tracing approach

In this paper, a development of a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) CO2 gas measurement system with an optical path length of 31 mm is described. The system improves its accuracy by optimizing the optical path and the light efficiency. The system improves its accuracy by optimizing the optical path and the light efficiency. Firstly, the ray tracing approach is used to simulate the light path of the chamber, so the light efficiency can be calculated. Secondly, based on the simulation result of the sensor that every different optical path length has its own contribution to the measurement, the optimized optical path length for CO2 measurement in the wavelength of 4.26 μm is 31 mm. Then the CO2 volume fraction measurement system is designed and tested by measuring the standard gas whose concentration is in the range of 20×10-6~1 500×10-6, and the experimental results show that the measurement accuracy of the system can reach 50×10-6..

A fast recovery system of 3D face based on NL-SFS approach

Due to the demand of fast recovery of 3D face, a recovery system based on non-Lambertian shape from shading (NL-SFS) approach was designed. Firstly, the non-Lambertian reflectance model was used to characterize the face, which was very closed to the actual reflectance property. Then, under a light source the face image was acquired by a camera whose projection mode was orthographic. The image irradiance equation for the face was derived under the assumption that the direction of the camera was the same as the light source. Furthermore, the equation was formulated into an Eikonal equation which included the shape of the face. Lastly, according to its characteristic, the system software was developed by using the fast marching method. The software can compute the solution of the equation, and then the 3D shape of the face was obtained. Experimental results demonstrated that the designed system could fastly achieve high recovery accuracy, which is 0.43% mean relative error within 0.9 s..

Quantitative analysis for micro/nano-structure silicon with wide spectrum and high absorption efficiency

Therefore, we experimentally quantified the different absorption factors of the micro/nano-structure silicon prepared by femtosecond laser, including the dopant impurities in the silicon substrate, doping impurities induced during the laser fabrication process, absorption enhancement from the surface amorphous light-trapping structure. By these analyses, we determine that as compared to the doping sulfur impurities induced during the fabrication process, dopant impurities in the silicon substrate can contribute much more to the infrared absorption. Furthermore, the material is annealing-insensitive. These results have important influence on the design and manufacture of high efficiency optoelectronic devices..

Optimization method of optical systems of fisheye lens

The study of stearic acid HTPE α-phase LiNbO3 optical waveguide preparation technology

Waveguide refractive index distribution is tested by using prism film coupling m-line technology and the statistical iterative method fitting. Crystal phase is analyzed by testing infrared absorption spectrum technique. The experimental results show that α-phase LiNbO3 optical waveguide can be produced under the conditions of the stearic acid doped with 1.1% lithium stearate mass proportion as buffer proton source and 350 ℃/6 h high temperature proton exchange. Single mode α-phase LiNbO3 optical waveguide at 632.8 nm wavelength can be produced under the conditions of the same temperature, time and the dilution of 1.3%..

Fabrication of broadband negative filter for plant cultivation

The broadband negative filter was prepared on the K9 substrate with large size through electron-beam evaporation system and ion assisted deposition system. The transmittance was over 90% at 400~470 nm and 630~750 nm wavelength band, and the reflectance at 500~580 nm wavelength band was less than 0.2%. Thermal stability and interfacial characterization of Co/Mo2C multilayer

Stress of W/Si multilayers deposition under different sputtering pressure

The multilayer structures are measured by using X-ray diffractometer.
