Auto focusing technology based on image processing is the main direction of auto focusing, in which the image sharpness evaluation function is the key to the success of focusing. The imaging details of infrared images are less than those of visible images, the unbiased and single peak characteristics of the simple image sharpness evaluation function are discounted, so the traditional auto focusing method is not suitable to the infrared images. A two segment fast searching auto focusing method is proposed based on the combination of coarse and fine auto focusing methods. The method divides the auto focusing into two steps. First, the focal position is found quickly by coarse tuning. And second, the precise position of the focal point is finally found by fine tuning. Experiments show that this method can automatically focus the infrared imaging system, and the system has good stability and real-time characteristics..

The difficulties of large-range long-distance detection are discussed. A dual field of view large aperture lens based on rotary scanning is designed to increase the detection range and distance of the system. The grouping design is used, the aperture of the front group system is compressed, and the galvanometer swing is used to compensate the image shift phenomenon during the rotation. So that the generated images can be stabilized and the detection accuracy is improved. The ideal system transfer function and dispersed spot are obtained through simulation, and large-range detection can be realized using rotary scanning of the large aperture system. This design provides a new way and idea to improve the insufficient of the detection distance or the range of the staring system..

The calibration of phase-height mapping system plays a decisive role in the accuracy of three-dimensional reconstruction and detection of phase measurement profilometry. The influence of fitting order on the calibration accuracy of phase-height mapping system based on polynomial fitting is mainly studied. Through the calibration of one to six orders polynomial fitting and three-dimensional height reconstruction, it is found that the fitting height of one to four orders can achieve a good height reconstruction accuracy, and the absolute error Δ is less than 5 μm.The polynomial fitting calibration coefficients of one to four orders are further studied and analyzed. It is found that when the fitting order is two, it has higher reconstruction accuracy and stability, and the absolute error Δ is 1.36 μm the relative error δ is 1.34% and the standard deviation
is 0.262..

Space-mapping based image panorama stitching algorithm is proposed to solve the problems that the results of the traditional image panorama stitching algorithms have low accuracy and obvious seams. At first, the image distortion center and lens distortion parameters from each camera are measured, and the ideal image with specified size of field of view is obtained by image distortion correction processing. And then, the actual installation location of each camera is calculated by using the similarity of overlapping field region of view of the adjacent cameras. The accuracy of image stitching is improved and image stitching seams is removed using brightness uniformity processing and boundary fusion methods. At last, according to actual installation location of each camera, the field of view and image resolution, panorama image is obtained by calculating image stitching table. Experimental results show that the algorithm has high stitching accuracy and the stitching images are seamless and smooth..

A quick anti-camouflage recognition technology based on hyper-spectral image is proposed for resolving the problem that the target is not easy to be extracted accurately and effectively with traditional infrared and visible light single wavelength reconnaissance methods under complex camouflage background. At first, the collected data of multi-spectral image in real time is registered and fused to obtain hyper-spectral images. And then, the fused images are enhanced by digital detail enhancement (DDE) technology and image details are effectively highlighted. At last, the methods of threshold segmenting and connectivity area abstracting of the enhanced image are used to obtain the targets of interest. Experimental results show that the method has better real time and less consumption of central processing unit (CPU) resources. It can quickly and clearly distinguish the targets such as buildings and campus under complex camouflage background, which is difficult to detect for single wavelength methods..
