Lightguide Optical Element (LOE) based on waveguide principle is a new generation collimation display technique.The advantages of optical waveguide in transmission are integrated into LOE techniqueand collimation display is implemented by modulating incident optical waves and demodulating emergent optical waves.The principle and the development of LOE are introduced in this paper.
