    Abstract

    Based on the research of wavelet transform and SPIHT(Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees algorithm,wavelet image compression technology is introduced to compress interferogram.In addition,in the wavelet decomposition coefficient matrix,high-frequency image data are close to zero,the information is mainly manifested in the part of the low-frequency image,and the mainly information storage is close to zero optical path difference in the interferogram.A row of interferogram data is disconneted and the data are stored with Z-storage array to the matrix form,which is compressed with wavelet algorithm.The research results show that the improvement can raise compression performance.
