    Abstract

    To overcome the bandwidth constraint and nonlinearity, at first, the differential pulse amplitude modulation (DAMP) method is used to lower the effect of bandwidth constraint on communication quality. And then, based on the analysis of channel characteristics of visible light communication, the modulation bandwidth constraint and nonlinearity of light sources is compensated by pre-equalization and light filtering to improve the bandwidth and throughput. At last, the simulation experiment is performed by using the single laser source being consisted of four LED chips with 1.5 MHz bandwidth. Experimental results show that the total throughput of the system increases with the increasing of the number of LED chips and the transmitted modulation system achieves a LED modulation with high data rate.
