Image contrast enhancement based on anisotropic diffusion equation

The contrast enhancement of blurred and noised image is discussed. It constructs an edge-directed anisotropic nonlinear diffusion to constrain the smoothness of the image,and constructs an unhomogeneous approach constraint according to the distribution of the imaging error. A regularization model for contrast enhancemeThe contrast enhancement of blurred and noised image is discussed. It constructs an edge-directed anisotropic nonlinear diffusion to constrain the smoothness of the image,and constructs an unhomogeneous approach constraint according to the distribution of the imaging error. A regularization model for contrast enhancement is obtained by combining these two constraints through a regularization parameter. This regularization model can turn to be an anisotropic nonlinear diffusion by solving its Euler equation,which can be solved fast. The new model can reduce noise and enhance edge at the same time,and can avoid the computation of huge matrix. Numerical results showed that the new model was suited for different blur and a wide range of noise levels,and could get sharper edges and clearer images than known methods,and it also had one or two dB higher peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR)and higher edge kept index(EKI)than known models..

Unified frame based on sparse prior for optical and SAR image resolution enhancement

First,we define the sparse prior,analyze the relationship between the sparse prior and resolution enhancement,and explain by parameter estimation theory. Image inpainting based on Thiele's rational interpolation

The repairing of damaged image is an important research field in image processing.The technique of image inpainting is used widely in many fields such as repairing of damaged medical image,ancient artifact and removing of scratches and spots of dust on in film. Adaptive lower-upper-middle filter

Low-up-middle filter,LUM filter for short,is a kind of nonlinear filter developed on the basis of middle filter. An improved LUM filtering algorithm is proposed. The algorithm improves the LUM filter in following two aspects. The algorithm does not filter smoothing areas which are not contaminated by noise,and searchesLow-up-middle filter,LUM filter for short,is a kind of nonlinear filter developed on the basis of middle filter. Fluorescence spectroscopy study of bovine serum albumin quenched by Levofloxacin

The fluorescence spectroscopy of bovine serum albumin(BSA)influenced by Lev-ofloxacin is studied. When the Levofloxacin is added into BSA solution gradually,the exci-tation peak has not obvious remove. However,the new phenomenon is emerged in emission spectrum. The intensity of 353.1 nm emission peak is decrease obviouThe fluorescence spectroscopy of bovine serum albumin(BSA)influenced by Lev-ofloxacin is studied. The quenching progress of Levofloxacin-BSA is not dynamic quenching resulted from the molecular diffusion and colli-sion. It resulted from the static quenching progress due to the chemical component between molecules. The dissociation constant of Levofloxacin from BSA is about Kd=3.39×10－5 mol/L.The critical distance R0 between provider and acceptor,when energy transfer efficiency is 50%,is about R0=1.81×10－7cm. The energy transfer efficiency between Levofloxacin and BSA is E = 0.351.According to these calculation results,it could be known the combined position be-tween the binding site of Levofloxacin and the tryptophane of BSA is about r=2.01×10－7 cm..

Design of aplanatic lens with aspheric surface

Previously only lens with aspheric surface for correcting spherical aberration was analyzed. Based on the third-order aberration theory,a method is put forward to gain inifial data of the aplanatic lens(including singlet and doublet)with aspheric surface. Er-Yb codoped frequency modulated fiber laser

A novel short cavity Er-Yb codoped single-longitudinal-mode frequency modulated fiber laser is demonstrated. The theoretical spectrum expression of frequency modulated laser using delayed self homodyne technique is deduced and simulated. This laser is mainly fabri-cated by a 4 cm long Er-Yb codoped fiber and two spectrA novel short cavity Er-Yb codoped single-longitudinal-mode frequency modulated fiber laser is demonstrated. The theoretical spectrum expression of frequency modulated laser using delayed self homodyne technique is deduced and simulated. This laser is mainly fabri-cated by a 4 cm long Er-Yb codoped fiber and two spectrally narrow fiber Bragg gratings. To realize the purpose of frequency modulation,the grating near the input of pump is modulated in length. The output power of the laser is more than 3 mW,linewidth is less than 400 kHz and maximum value of the laser optical frequency deviation can reach 55 MHz..

Intensity correlation time of a single-mode laser driven by two colored noises with colored cross-correlation with additive signal

The intensity correlation time T is studied for gain-noise model of a single-mode laser driven by colored pump noise and colored quantum noise with colored cross-correlation. By using the linear approximation method,we detect that there exist maximum(i.e. resonance)in the T-D and T-I0 curves when the noise correlation The intensity correlation time T is studied for gain-noise model of a single-mode laser driven by colored pump noise and colored quantum noise with colored cross-correlation. By using the linear approximation method,we detect that there exist maximum(i.e. resonance)in the T-D and T-I0 curves when the noise correlation coefficien λis positive;and there exist minimum(i.e. suppression)in the T-D curves and exist one minimum and one maximum in the T-I0 curves when λ is negative. When λ is zero,The intensity correlation time Tincreases monotonously with the increasing of the quantum noise intensity D and steady-state intensity I0. However,no matter what the value λ is,the intensity correlation time T decreases monotonously with the increasing of the periodic signal amplitude A and the attenuation coefficient γ. Furthermore,we analyze the effect of signal frequency,Ω. and the cross-correlation time 3 on the intensity correlation time T,find that has little effect on the T-D,T-I0,T-A and T-γ curves,and 3 has great effects on the T-D,T-I0 and T-A curves but has little effect on the T-γ curves..

Relationship of the Gaussian width of Bose-condensed gas and the intensity of 1D-optical lattices potential

Based on the Gross-Pitaevskii theory,for a Bose-condensed gas confined in a har-monic trap and in a one-dimensional(1D)optical lattice,the relationship of the Gaussian width of the sub-condenses and the intensity of 1D-optical lattices potential is studied by using the G-P energy functional and the variational method. Based on the Gross-Pitaevskii theory,for a Bose-condensed gas confined in a har-monic trap and in a one-dimensional(1D)optical lattice,the relationship of the Gaussian width of the sub-condenses and the intensity of 1D-optical lattices potential is studied by using the G-P energy functional and the variational method. For the ideal non-interacting model,the Gaussian width of the sub-condenses is analyzed. Concerning interacting Bose-condensed atoms,the Gaussian approximate model is advanced and the analytic expression of the Gaussian width with the intensity of optical lattices potential is obtained. And then,those analytical results are compared with the straightforward numerical calculation. It indicates that the Gaussian approximate model is closer to the results of the numerical solution,and both are reaching unanimity with the intensity of 1D-optical lattices potential increasing..

Study on quantum bit error rate of quantum key distribution system based on the double Mach-Zehnder interferometers

Quantum bit error rate(QBER)of the quantum key distribution system based on the unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometer is theoretically analyzed. The influence of the unsymmetry of the two Mach-Zehnder interferometers,the birefringence in the fiber and the fluctuation of the temperature,on the QBER have been discussed Quantum bit error rate(QBER)of the quantum key distribution system based on the unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometer is theoretically analyzed. Dynamical of entangled atoms in GHZ states interacting with the Fock state field

The dynamical properties in the system of three identical two-level entangled atoms interacting with the Fock states field are investigated by mean of Schr?dinger equation solution and numerical calculations. The results show that the time evolution of the atomic popula-tion operator and second order coherence degree dThe dynamical properties in the system of three identical two-level entangled atoms interacting with the Fock states field are investigated by mean of Schr?dinger equation solution and numerical calculations. The results show that the time evolution of the atomic popula-tion operator and second order coherence degree depend on the degree of entanglement of the entangled atoms and the intensity of the Fock states optical field. If the two atoms are in un-entangled state,the atomic population reveals the periodic collapse and revival phenomenon.The atomic population reveals vacuum Rabi oscillation when the optical field is in vacuum state,and the Rabi oscillation frequency of the atomic population is shown to increase with the growth of the intensity of the optical field. If the two atoms are in entangled state,the photon reveals the bunching phenomenon with the growth of the degree of the entangled state,and the second-order correlation function is shown to increase with the growth of the degree of the entangled state..

Experimental investigations of stimulated Raman scattering in D2and D2/He pumped by the Nd∶YAG fourth harmonic laser

The fourth harmonic of a pulsed Nd∶YAG laser is used to pump Raman cells filled with D2 and D2/He. The influence of the systemic parameters,such as the pump energy,pressure of pure D2,and addition of He into D2/He,on the energy conversion efficiencies and energy stability of stimulated Raman scattering radiations,have The fourth harmonic of a pulsed Nd∶YAG laser is used to pump Raman cells filled with D2 and D2/He. The influence of the systemic parameters,such as the pump energy,pressure of pure D2,and addition of He into D2/He,on the energy conversion efficiencies and energy stability of stimulated Raman scattering radiations,have been experimentally studied.It is proved that the energy conversion efficiency and energy stability of S1 is influenced by the intensity and energy stability of pump laser and the pressure of gas medium in Raman cell. On the premise of not lowering the energy stability of the first Stokes radiation(S1,289.04 nm),it is propitious to increase the energy conversion efficiency of S1 to add proper ratio of He into Raman cell filled with D2. The maximum energy conversion efficiency of S1reaches 22.1% in D2/He. By experimental analysis,the conditions for optimizing the energy conversion efficiency and energy stability of S1 have been gotten..

Interactional effect between a suppressive laser jammer with high frequency and a laser guidance system

Impulse coupling to aluminum in vacuum with different laser parameters

The dependence of impulse coupling coefficient to aluminum in vacuum vs. incident laser intensity with different wavelength and pulsewidth are studied by unsteady transparent vapor model. Carbon doped GaAs epitaxial layer grown by MOCVD

Effect of analog digital conversion and baud rate intercalation to laser atmospheric communication quality

We study optical burst switching network based on ring architecture. We propose a method using multiple receivers to reduce contention and analyse its performance by simulation. Numerical results conform that a small number of receivers would be sufficient to achieve very small burst loss rate. It is useful in designing an OBS ring network that using appropriate number of receivers to achieve good performance while reducing hardware cost..

Study on dispersion properties of the fundamental mode in photonics crystal fiber

The eigenfunctions of electromagnetic wave in photonic crystal fibers were set up by a semi-vector method proposed by Monro et al. Applications research on designing of the dispersion managed soliton system

The ways and processes of designing for the DMS system are studied. Firstly,the transmission theories in DMS system are analyzed to decide the extent of the parameters of DMS. Then the process of designing for DMS transmission system is given. With these results,a piece of practical backbone network is studied for an eThe ways and processes of designing for the DMS system are studied. With these results,a piece of practical backbone network is studied for an example in optimization of designing the DMS system. Application this method,the DMS has good transmission characteristic and fine eye figure in the 800 km rebuilt backbone network. These ways and processes of designing for the DMS system can be taken as a valuable reference for practical systems in applying to a high speed and big capacity transmission line..

Extremum characteristic of dispersion period lengths on dispersion managed soliton

Models of periodic perturbations are made in a dispersion-managed soliton system,their effects on soliton propagation are investigated. Studies on fiber Bragg grating pressure sensor based on the diaphragm

The pressure sensor characteristic of fiber Bragg grating(FBG)was analyzed,the relation between the central wavelength of reflection wave of FBG and pressure was given,and the expression of the pressure sensitivity coefficient was also given. The pressure experiments were carried out on the plat diaphragm,whose type waThe pressure sensor characteristic of fiber Bragg grating(FBG)was analyzed,the relation between the central wavelength of reflection wave of FBG and pressure was given,and the expression of the pressure sensitivity coefficient was also given. The pressure experiments were carried out on the plat diaphragm,whose type was ZXYC01,which was self-designed.The experimental results indicated that the pressure sensitivity coefficient of fiber Bragg grat-ings on the ZXYC01 type diaphragm is about 46 pm/Mpa,its measurement precision is 0.5% F.S. And the theoretical pressure sensitivity coefficient is 51 pm/MPa. The experimental results agree with the theoretical one,and they are 23 and 26 times of that of the bare fiber Bragg grating respectively. At the same time there is a very good linearity and repetition between the center wavelength of fiber Bragg grating and pressure change on the diaphragm,and there is scarcely hysteresis effect..

Oversample-superposition technique applied to long-wave infrared push-broom imaging system

In the long-wave infrared push-broom imaging system,compared with the residence-time of the system,the integration-time of the detector is only about 10% of the former because of strong background in our designing. To make full use of residence-time in push-broom imag-ing system and increase the SNR,the oversample-supeIn the long-wave infrared push-broom imaging system,compared with the residence-time of the system,the integration-time of the detector is only about 10% of the former because of strong background in our designing. To make full use of residence-time in push-broom imag-ing system and increase the SNR,the oversample-superposition method was applied in the designing. We described the method of oversample-superposition according to easy-saturated infrared detector,then analysed it's effection on system PTF and SNR. Furthermore,a successful design of oversample-superposition hardware and image capture software have been made. Some experiments were carried out to capture images of hand which indicate that this system performs well..

Study on preparation and spectra characteristics of nano Si3N4 by laser method

The basic principles of silicon nitride nano-powder synthesis by laser induced chem-ical vapor deposition method are investigated. By adding an ultraviolet beam of light,which is perpendicular to CO2 laser,the concentration of dissociated Si atoms decreased because then(N)/n(Si)ratio increased. The powders possess the The basic principles of silicon nitride nano-powder synthesis by laser induced chem-ical vapor deposition method are investigated. By adding an ultraviolet beam of light,which is perpendicular to CO2 laser,the concentration of dissociated Si atoms decreased because then(N)/n(Si)ratio increased. The powders possess the following characteristics: high purity,ideal stoichiometry(n(N)/n(Si)=1.314)and an narrow range of size(7～15 nm). Transmission electron graph shows that the powders are nearly monodispersed. The“ blue shift” and“widening” in the observed infrared spectra and Raman spectra are resulted from the surface effect and quantum size. The laser induced chemical vapor deposition method with double beam optical stimulation is a preferable way to synthesize silicon nitride nano-powder of high purity..
