Diode Pumped Yb:YAG Thin Disk Laser Achieves 16 W CW Output

In recent years, Yb:YAG has been regarded as a way of developing high power and high efficient diode pumped solid state laser(DPSSL). We briefly present the very promising properties of Yb:YAG as laser active material, most of them clearly superior to Nd:YAG in diode pumped applications. Optical Parameters of Ho3+ in Oxyfluoride Glass Ceramic

Optical-absorption spectrum of Ho3+ ions in oxyfluoride glass ceramic was measured, from which the measured oscillator strengths were obtained. The Judd-Ofelt intensity param- etersΩ( = 2,4,6) were determined by a best fit of the calculated and measured oscillator strengths, the rms deviation was 3.5 ×10-7. Some pOptical-absorption spectrum of Ho3+ ions in oxyfluoride glass ceramic was measured, from which the measured oscillator strengths were obtained. The Judd-Ofelt intensity param- etersΩ( = 2,4,6) were determined by a best fit of the calculated and measured oscillator strengths, the rms deviation was 3.5 ×10-7. Some predicted spectroscopic parameters of the ex- cited states, like the spontaneous radiative transition rate, radiative lifetime, branching ratio and integrated emission cross section were given using the intensity parameters. Studies on the Double Refractive SHG Output Properties for LiNbO3 Fibonacci-class Superlattice

After introducing the characterastics of FC(n) and LiNbO3 superlattice systems con- structed following FC(n), we analytically obtained the formulae of the output power of the second-harmonic-generation light and the efficiency of the output power versus input power by means of the small-signal approximation. The relationship between the output power per unit area of the second-harmonic-generation light of ordinary-light s(2ω)0 and the wavelenght of the fundamental beam was given. It was found that there exist four harmonic spectral lines with high transforming efficiency in visible light zone. The similar result was also got but the number of the lines is six. Quantum Properties of Light in The System of Two-mode Squeezing Vacuum Field Interacting with N-type Four-level Atom in Two-photon Transition

Heat Release Rate Study of a Pool Fire Interacted with Water Mists Using a Cone Calorimeter

Heat release rate is the most essential parameter for combustion process,and often employed to study the dunamic supression process of a pool fire under water mist application.Based on oxygen consumption theory,cone calorimeter is widely used to measure the heat release rate of a fire. However, one of the main simplifyHeat release rate is the most essential parameter for combustion process,and often employed to study the dunamic supression process of a pool fire under water mist application.Based on oxygen consumption theory,cone calorimeter is widely used to measure the heat release rate of a fire. However, one of the main simplifying assumptions of this technique is that the incoming gases into the susten only come from ambient atmosphere.When water mists are applied to the pool fire.some of them would be heated and evaporate into water vapor,so the incoming gas concentration would be affected ,resultig in signifecant bias of the heat release tate measurement.In this paper a simple method to reduce this effect due to water vapor was develped and the heat release rate of the pool fire interacted with water mists was studied using the cone calorimeter.The factors such as pool scale,fuel type and water mist volume flux were considered in the experiments.The heat release rate was reduced signifcantly when water mists of adequate flux were applied to the pool fire,and however was enhangced with water mists of small quantity .As regards to some incomplete combustible fuel sample,the enhangcement effect was obvious..

Application of DS18B20 in the Field of Temperature Controller for High Power Laser Diode

Studies on Gain Characteristics of Erbium-doped Optical Waveduide Amplifiers

Enhanced Compression of Optical Pulse in Fibers when the Walk-off Effect is Taken Into Account

Effect of Third-order Dispersion on Soliton with Twin-core Fiber

The results show that: time delay of soliton and separation of two same phase soliton versus propagation distance will linearly arise, and the two characteristics independently exist.
