Operating range prediction of infrared imaging system

In infrared imaging system, all false and unnecessary signal are called noise. The existence of the noiseinterferes detection for useful signal, and affects system operating range. concept of temperature difference is redefined, and the formula of calculating system operating range based on MRTD is given, considering of the dimension of the target, discrimination level and detection probability. Moving point target detection based on order morphology filtering

To resolve the movingpoint target detection problem under the condition of low SNR, a new point targetdetection algorithm based on generalized edge extracted by order morphology filtering ispresented. Two steps of point target detection are adopted.
