A new technique for manufacturing 2D/3D embossing holograms, the traversing area partition method, is presented. The basic principle, designing considerations and calculating formulae of the technique are described. In addition, we propose a method using double colour circulation or multiple colour circulation to increase the vertical viewing angle and the striped-speckle screen to increase the horizontal viewing angle. We have used this technique to make a lot of new 2D/3D embossing holograms successfully. Some of the results are shown in this paper..

A new principle is proposed to pseudocolor-code the differential interference in the grating-diffraction interferometry with extended white light illumination by using dispersion effect of a prism. The phase gradients of the tested object are shown by coding colors monotonically with a determinating period. The conditions to yield such coding colors as spectral colors, mixing colors of high purity or fullcolors are discussed. Possible profiles of gratings are then given to obtain an exact differentiation. So, real and effeotive oo]or coding of in-terferomeirioal fringes is realised for the first time..

The authors point out that "The layers with same temperature are not quite parrallel to the ground and are changable tinder different condition" (i.e. the layers are divided arbitrarily). Under such an assumption the correcting formula for refraction in levelling has been derived concerning the effect of light dispersion. The formula with the precision 10-6 is as follows The necessity and the possibility to develop the two wavelengths laser levelling instrument are suggested and the technical parameter ....

In calculation of the energy levels of FA centers in KCl crystals, the difference of the ability of binding an electron between host and doping ions affects the distribution of binding electron cloud of FA center. It is the basis for choosing a calculation method of electron energy level ef FA centers. The energy level of three kinds of typical doping: Li:KCl:FA(II); Cu:KCl:FA (III), T1:KCI:FA(III) have been caloulated in this paper. The deviations are less than 5% as compared with experimental values..

The effect of parametric amplification produced picosecond pulses
CUI YIBEN, QI HONGXING, LI GONGPU, and PAN ZHONGHAN
In this paper the parametric LiNbO3 crystal of angular tuning pumped by 0.53μm trains of picosecond ultrashort pulses was reported. We have obtained energy converse efficiency 1% of single-pass parameirio amplification. The frequency range 0.8-1.6μm of timing curves of the signal and idler pulses was mersured.

ZHANG JINSHAN, GAN FUXI, and QI CHANGHONG
The absorption, excitation, and emission spectra of CdS(Se) microcrystallites in glass are measured, and their temperature dependances from 10 K to 300 K are obtained. The results are compared with the reported results for correspondent crystals. The possible transition mechanism is discussed.

In this paper, we present the study of Raman Scattering by Surface Polaritons (SPs). Based on the Attenuated Total Reflection method (ATR method) and Raman Scattering method and refered to the method of Raman Scattering under ATRf conditions (RSATR) in Kretchmann configuration, we have suggested a method o RSATR with Otto configuration and have made a series of experiments on the sample of single crystal CaF2. Theoretically we have got a phenomenologioal dispersion relation of SPs on the boundary between CaF2 and air using the law of energy conservation and the law of momentum, conservation parallel the sample stirfaoe as well as general dispersion relation of SPs derived from surface Green fnnotion or surface response ftmotion. With the help of sample carrier specially designed, the experiment was carried out to measurle ihe dispersion relation of SPs. Comparison indicates that the experimental resnlis are in good agreement with that of theory..

Spectra of atomic lead beam by UV 283.3 nm laser excitation
DING DAJUN, LIU HANG, and K. T. LU
Atomic fluorescences in a Pb beam excited by a UV tunable laser were measured under different exodting intensities. Theoretic analysis is based on the three-level rate equation, which includes a process of two-photon ionisation. A good agreement was obtained between the experiment and the calculation.

Films with resistity of 1.08 × 10-3 Ωcm, transmittance of around 80% in the visible region were obtained. Conductive mechanism of indium-doped ZnO films was explained on semiconductors physios theory. Optical properties were modeled by the Drude theory of free electron from the visible region to the infrared region. The result showed that oaloiilaied yalue of optical properties agreed well wiilL experimental data..
