A new material processing technology of laser cleaning is introduced. Its merit, mechanisms and types are all elaborated, the influence of laser power density, pulse number, incident angle and wavelength are also analyzed. Furthermore, some application examples of laser cleaning are introduced, and the results indicate that the cleaning effect is satisfying.
